Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

Some may think that we are a bit "Scroogie" in our house since we have never had a normal size tree. Well, let me list in order the reasons why I love these 3 little trees:

  • These baby's cost $29.99 5 years ago and I haven't had to replace them yet!
  • Easy Set-up and take down (fluff a few branches and it's all good)
  • Less lights and ornaments (hey, we can all use the extra money we would spend on decorating and the electric bill)
  • No need to spend countless hours looking for the perfect tree skirt (none required)!!
  • No need to vacuum dead pine needles cause there aren't any!
  • You won't spend countless hours pondering over what is in the mysterious box that your grandma sent you because presents don't fit under these trees!

HAPPY DECORATING!!

I'm one of those that can't believe you don't have a 'normal' sized tree! But, I guess you have three trees, so it's all good. I don't even have a damn tree up yet this year! I got to get working on that!

That is so funny because up until 2 years ago, I was using those same trees!!! I am not even kidding. They were my moms and I was too cheap to go buy a "normal" sized tree! I am so with you on the easy put up and take down! Get away with it for as long as you can!

I think that the three trees are darling, and after my hell weekend of battling Christmas trees (and I'm still not done) - I'm ready to do the same thing!!!! Hope you have a great holiday season!! (and YES that was a huge run-on sentence)

I love it!! I'm ALL for easy, too! Our tree is a hand-me-down from my wonderful Grandma-in-Law!! YAY for free!!! It's super old & one of the branches fell OFF when I set it up this year, but I got it back on, so it's all good!! We went for easy, non-breakable decorations this year--in a few (ok maybe SEVERAL) years we'll be able to get some "real" ones & maybe by then the kiddos will be old enough to leave 'em alone!! We'll see!!!

I totally agree w you. My tree is so tiny too and I agreed w all the reasons. I hate going overboard to buy decorations when the money can be spent else where. I think they are darling and at least you have something up right. I LOVE EM.
heart you

I didn't want to get my tree out this year. Curtis was the one that said that we needed to put it up. So that was our Sunday activites. I guess that thing will be up for a couple of weeks. Then it will be some hard not wanted work to get it down and put away.
I do love your idea of having the 3 little ones. I do love mine now that it is up, but it would sure be a lot easier to go with your plan.

I think they are adorable and still very festive! Our tree is the tree we bought when we were first married and VERY poor...so it's not that big either. But I agree with all your reasons and I just can't bring myself to buy another one when this one works! Cute decorations on them! I hope your holiday season is great.

Um...Kerra. I do "believe" you are smart. However, where do you put all the gifts? In a way, you are kindof a show off because you can say you have 3 trees. However, in other ways you are just freakin' lazy. What is up with that!? The Kerra I know would have a big full on 10 footer tree displayed with beautiful ornaments. Okay fine. I guess I am just rambling on because I went all out this year and for what.....just to take it all down! You are the smart one! I will give you that...

They don't look that small...I kinda like them:) We almost put ours on a box this year, because I didn't want to buy a new big one. I'm still buying regular decorations, I didn't want to splurge on a big tree.
