September 20, 2008

What an amazing way to spend a sUnNy Saturday afternoon! My amazingly creative neighbor came to our benefit for Kassie and Jerym and I asked her to just start taking tons of pictures of all the happenings. I didn't point out anyone in the family and she took some of the most moving pictures I could have ever asked for. I went to pick up the pics and she had put them to this song.

It's not often in life that you are able to open your heart to experience the gift of love. Love is something that can be given and also received if you are willing to be ready at any point in time for the possibilities that can change your life because of it.

Love really is the greatest gift you can ever give and I will be forever greatful for the opportunity I had to love Kassie and Jerym. Knowing both of them and their families helped me have a better understanding of the words "unconditional love".

If you haven't given it- Give it. If you haven't felt it- Let yourself feel it. If you haven't opened your heart to receive it- Open it and open it wide. Our lives will forever be changed now that they are gone, but they were already forever changed because we had them in it. With love always, Kerra

Kerra,
That was VERY well written. Those pictures are AMAZING!! Thank you for letting me be a part of that special day. I love Kassie so much and it totally helped me to grieve a little easier knowing how many people love her and Jerym. I know how happy the Pectol's and the Lee's were that this event was done to honor Kassie and Jerym. You are truly amazing and I am happy to call you a friend. You all worked so hard and we know that Kassie's legacy will live forever! Thanks again for sharing the pictures.

I thought of you on Sat. and wondered how it went for you. You are such an amazing person...I love to read your posts...you really are good at putting feelings into words. I am so blessed to have you as a friend. I loved when you said that your life was already forever changed because they were a part of it...that's how I feel about so many people, including you. You are such an example to me and inspire me to be a better person. You always have. It looked like you had great day, the pictures were amazing and the video was very touching. Thanks for sharing. Its nice that you can EXPRESS the words, however, fail to LIVE them. You should look into acting, you would have won an Emmy by now. I'm not buying any of what your selling until you take a lesson from your own words and practice what you preach.

"I love your guts!" That is my most favorite Kerra line and I LOVE it...and yours! You do have a way with words. You are amazing. I wish I could have been there to participate in the carnival and it looks like it was a success! You are such a honey!

ps. I just saw that we are getting an organic vending machine at the YMCA *where I work out* finally...dark chocolate covered almonds instead of grandma's cookies!

Kerra-
My BIG apologies for missing the entire breakfast! It came down to the typical I was trying to be in too many places at one time. But I heard how beautifly it came together & what a success it was! I hope my hubby was some help. You did such an awesome job, & I'm sure you put the biggest smile on Kassie's face!!

Wow, what an amazing event! I am in awe at the genuine, generous and quietly bold way you share your love and God with others. I am so please to see you responding to others this way. Thank you for sharing these things about you with me. I am grateful for what you so freely give to others. Your kindness, hope and faith shine and you and your friends have truly given a great gift. Now go to bed, it's late. Love, Mom
